Certified Agreement

Queensland Health has seven important agreements that prescribe wages and other conditions of employment for workers (excluding executives and executives). In the meantime, display a copy of the contract officials (PDF, 288KB). Australian employment contract laws (AWAs) have changed. AWAs were work agreements between an employer and a single employee. Under the new laws that came into force in March 2008, only employers who already had AWA workers could enter into individual employment contracts with other workers. These agreements are now called individual transitional employment contracts (ITEAs) and could not be concluded until the end of 2009. When the original AEAs expire, the employer will no longer be able to use AWAs or ITEAs in the future. For more information, see employment contracts The most common type of employment agreement in agriculture is the single enterprise agreement, which is an agreement between a single employer and its workers or a group of workers. While the awards are presented by the Queensland Industrial Relations Commission (QIRC), agreements are negotiated by Queensland Health and Queensland Health staff representatives. After the agreement of the staff members covered by the proposed agreement (as part of a voting procedure), the agreements are certified by the QIRC. A labour agreement differs, in many ways, from a collective agreement. Under Australia`s labour law, the 2005-2006 industrial reform, known as „WorkChoices”[3] (with the corresponding amendments to the Workplace Relations Act (1996), changed the name of these contractual documents to a „collective agreement.” State industrial legislation may also impose collective agreements, but the adoption of the WorkChoices reform will reduce the likelihood of such agreements occurring. Registered contracts apply until they are terminated or replaced.

On December 20, 2019, the government and Queensland resolved the dispute resolution in arbitration. This means that the hearing scheduled for February 2020 must no longer be continued, since an agreement can be reached. Further updates will be made available as the contract process progresses. At that time, payment data resulting from the agreement were not confirmed. However, the government is working to ensure that this is done quickly. From 9 March 2020, the proposed agreement and the corresponding explanation of the agreement will be available on www.forgov.qld.gov.au/state-government-entities-certified-agreement-2019. Enterprise agreements are collective agreements between employers and workers on employment conditions.
